AVCAL Focus on SIVSydney. 22 February 2016
SUMO SIV director, Vincent Lim, was a guest of the NSW Department of Industry at a venture capital seminar that the Department held jointly with the Australian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association Ltd (AVCAL) on 22 February 2016.
Topics at the seminar included What are the benefits of investing in Venture Capital and Private Equity in Australia by Dr Kar Mei Tang of AVCAL; How Do Venture Capital and Private Equity Markets work in Australia by Jason Cachia of Evolve Capital; and Fundamentals of Venture Capital programs and the Complying Investment Framework by Ruben Heidmann of AusIndustry.
This event was initiated by NSW Business & Skilled Migration as a key action to deliver on its “strategic priority of engaging directly with industry to share insights and create forums for discussions to accelerate opportunities to maximise benefits to the state’s economy.”
Congratulations to the NSW Government for a most informative seminar and also thumbs up to AVCAL for constantly leading the way in creating awareness and sharing vital information with the investment community on the VC and private equity industry.
