Suren has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry. He is the Chairman and Founder of the entities within the Sumo Group of Companies including SUMO SIV Pty Ltd, the investment manager of the two SUMO SIV Managed Funds.
Over a career period of more than 20 years as a financial adviser, Suren has advised clients on a range of asset classes and the total assets under advice for that period exceeded AUD$1.5 billion.
Suren had also previously established a full multi-disciplinary practice of lawyers, chartered accountants, and financial planners. Prior to this, he worked as a corporate tax consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Suren holds bachelor degrees in Law and Economics (with Honours) from Sydney University. He is also a certified financial planner and is a Fellow of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).

Vincent Lim is an Executive Director of SUMO SIV. SUMO SIV is the investment manager of the SUMO SIV Managed Fund (ARSN 164 733 260) and SUMO SIV Managed Fund No. 2 (ARSN 609 076 824), both of which are Significant Investor Visa (SIV)-compliant managed funds registered by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC).
Vincent is a trusted adviser to many high net-worth individuals in Australia and across Asia. In addition to being a director at SUMO SIV, he is also a director of VTS Lawyers, a director of the general partner of the StartMesh Innovation Fund (an Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership set up by SUMO in collaboration with StartMesh), and a director of SUMO Group’s property funds management company, Jaxen Funds Management.
Vincent graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics (majoring in Accounting), a Bachelor of Laws, and a Master of Laws. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from FINSIA (Financial Services Institute of Australasia) and he has been a Fellow of FINSIA since 2002.
Partner, Agri Business & Asset Acquisitions
Peter Preston is a Partner, Agri Business & Asset Acquisitions, at SUMO’s Melbourne office. He is also the founder and Chairman of Peter Preston Business Solutions.
Peter has over 30 years’ experience in the retail and consumer industries as an owner, CEO, senior executive, board member, and as a corporate and business advisor.
He has considerable expertise and experience in creating the right financial structures and assembling effective management teams which are the key to realising an investment or asset’s true potential. Peter has also completed a business development course at Harvard.
Peter has strong industry and business relationships which allows him early access to investment and/or acquisition opportunities.
Peter is currently leading a SUMO team on a number of agri business and farm acquisition projects in Australia in conjunction with our joint venture partners in the agricultural sector.

Loren is SUMO SIV’s legal counsel. She graduated from the University of New South Wales in Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in History) and a Bachelor of Laws in 2010.
Loren began her career as a Judge’s Associate at the Industrial Relations Court of New South Wales. From there, she segued into legal practice, specialising in commercial and business law.
In addition to law, Loren has also completed a financial planning course and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Jun holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from AIS in Auckland, New Zealand.
She also holds a real estate agent licence in New South Wales and has worked in the real estate industry in Sydney since 2003.
Jun has considerable expertise and experience in property investment and property management and currently assists our investors with their property related matters.
Jun is also fluent in Mandarin.
The Responsible Entity-One Managed Investment Funds Limited

One Managed Investment Funds Limited (OMIFL) is the Responsible Entity of both the SUMO SIV Managed Fund (ARSN 164 733 260) and the SUMO SIV Managed Fund No. 2 (ARSN 609 076 824). As Responsible Entity, OMIFL holds investors’ assets in the said Funds on trust for them.
OMIFL is an entity within the One Investment Group (OIG) and has extensive experience as a corporate trustee and custodian, and is a professional responsible entity operating various ASIC regulated schemes.
OMIFL is the holder of Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) number 297042. It has funds under management of in excess of A$100 million ie it complies with the Australian Government’s new “minimum $100 million funds under management” requirement under the new SIV rules effective from 1 July 2015.
OIG is an independent Australian funds management business that focuses on providing responsible entity/trustee and other services associated with funds management. OIG’s licensed entities hold over 200 trustee roles, administering a range of asset classes including hedge funds, real estate, shipping, private equity, fixed income, credit, equity and aviation. The total value of the assets within these trusts is in excess of $25 billion.
One Investment Group
Before founding One Investment Group, Frank served in various roles at Allco Finance Group, including Head of Business Transition and Operations, Managing Director of the Hong Kong Office, Director in the corporate finance team and General Counsel.
Frank has been a non-executive director of several companies, including manager of a Singapore listed property trust and an APRA regulated insurance company.
He has more than 10 years’ experience working in major law firms in Australia and the United Kingdom, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, funds management and corporate governance.
Frank has a Masters in International Business Law from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) from the University of Leicester.
One Investment Group
Justin is a founding partner of the One Investment Group.
Prior to this, Justin was the Investment Director of the LJCB Investment Group, one of Australia’s most significant private investment houses. LJCB was diversified in terms of asset class, geographical and economic sector investment. LJCB had significant international investments in sectors including banking and financial services, petroleum, aviation and property. Justin was responsible for sourcing and leading investment opportunities. In this role, Justin was also Head of Corporate Finance for Global Aviation Asset Management, one of the world’s largest aircraft lessors, managing a modern portfolio of 53 aircraft on long term operating leases to airlines around the world.
He has previously worked in group strategy and business development for a major Australian investment bank, for the corporate finance restructuring division of Ernst & Young and for a specialised private property finance and investment group.
Justin is also a director of a private investment company primarily focused on equity investments and distressed debt opportunities.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of New South Wales and is a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).
Frank Tearle and Justin Epstein together have over 30 years of experience in financial markets, corporate governance and high value mergers and acquisitions.
They have also set up a compliance committee for OIG that is made up of independent members who each have over 20 years’ experience in relevant industries including funds management, banking, investment banking, capital markets and compliance.
This structure allows Sumo SIV to benefit from independently regulated services associated with funds management, and ensures your wealth is looked after in accordance with all of the applicable rules and regulations.
