SUMO SIV director, Suren Pather, put forward a strong economic case as to why Australia is currently one of the most attractive places to invest. Suren, an Economics graduate from Sydney University with Honours, provided an overview of world economic history, the key issues being faced by economies all around the world and some statistics on Australia’s economic performance relative to other economies. His conclusion to a packed audience at the SIV seminar held at the offices of King & Wood Mallesons in Hong Kong was that there are very few, if any, better places to invest apart from Australia.
Also presenting was Ms Cher Jones, New South Wales Trade & Investment Commissioner for South China and Hong Kong.
The event was organized by Ms Stacey Martin, Senior Adviser at NAB Private Wealth and founder of the Expat Advisors Community, as part of the 2016 Think Global “Invest in Australia” mission to the Asian Financial Forum hosted by the Hong Kong Government.
